Since our last post almost a year ago Eva has been busy growing.

Tomorrow we are having a “Gotcha Day” party. Great big thanks goes to Nini for hosting the party. We have invited all of our local family and friends that greeted Eva on our front porch a year ago when we arrived home from China. What a wonderful year we have had. See how she has grown.

We are having a great summer! Eva is growing and talking more and more. Everyday is something new for her to discover. Sorry the post are so far and few but a family of five sure does keep you busy. Enjoy the new pictures.

What a great weekend we had together as a family. Eva had fun with her first egg hunt and enjoyed the chocolate egg prize the most. She is talking more everyday and is full of energy. We just love to watch her play and laugh at some of the things she can come up with to do or say. Her favorite thing to do is to put on someones BIG shoe but only ONE shoe and wear it all over the house. So, when you go looking for your shoes you may have to go to the bathroom, closet, laundry room, kitchen, dining room, or wherever little miss has been. Enjoy the pictures!!

Today is our 6 month “Gotcha Day” anniversary!
Eva is AWESOME! She is growing everyday.

The most amazing thing I can say about Eva is how loving she is. She loves her family and seems to have adjusted very well. She gives many hugs and kisses throughout the day. She has an amazing ability to understand what you are saying. She is a very curious little girl and understands most everything going on around her. Eva is a great sleeper at night but when she’s awake she is BUSY! She loves playing with her big brothers and now that it’s warmer outside she wants to go out and play with all the big kids. Jared and Caleb just pick her up and take her right along with them most of the time. I can already tell she is going to grow up way too fast. She is our little blessing and a total joy in our life.

The boys had their first snow day since they started school 5 and 6 years ago. It has been a lot of fun for them.
Eva spent enough time in the snow to take a few pictures but it is very cold and I don’t think she really knew what to think about it.
She is walking so good and can even walk backwards some which she thinks is funny. She will eat just about anything but prefers to eat off someone elses plate than her own. You can not have food around her without expecting to share it.
She loves going to the sitters during the week but will not stay in the nursery at church. We really aren’t pushing the issue yet because it’s not necessary to put her through that.
She says a few words but for the most part it’s still a lot of dah and mama. Not certain she is saying it to us as daddy and mommy yet but she is babbling a lot.
Eva is very busy during the day now that she is walking. She will scout the entire room out for everything that is NOT a toy. For example, she will try to get the remote, cell phone, cordless phone, game controller, keys, wallet, and just about anything else that is not a toy. After she has made her rounds for all non-toy items she will then play with some of her toys. If she get still longer than maybe 3 seconds that means nap or bedtime. She is a GREAT sleeper! She sleeps about 12 hours at night and 1 or 2 naps a day.

I must say it has been the best Christmas ever although we did not get all of our Christmas cards sent out this year because we have been so busy with birthday”s”, sick children (Caleb), traveling, and working.
Eva is walking now and seems to be very happy she can move around much faster. She is also talking and understanding more everyday. We are seeing lots of smiles and laughs.
I will try to post more latter but just wanted to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!
Our little girl is one year old!
She wasn’t sure how to take all the people in her house when she woke up from her nap but it didn’t take her long to warm up.
The cake was beautiful and the candle was a huge success. The candle came from China. When you light the center it flames up like a torch which lights the smaller birthday candles. The smaller candles then springs open like a flower and turns playing Happy Birthday.
Eva enjoyed watching the candles!
She had fun tasting the icing on her cake and seemed to like it.

She likes her cards and wraping paper as much as she does the gifts.
We have truly been blessed to have such a wonderful daughter!
